Alamo Car Rental – Affordable & Easy Travel in the US

The company opened with just 1,000 cars spread across four Florida locations, undercutting bigger rivals by as much as 20% to win over cost-conscious vacationers. That discount-first strategy made it a favorite among international visitors flying into the United States, and its strong airport presence still reflects those leisure-travel roots. Republic Industries acquired Alamo in 1996, and after parent company Vanguard was bought by Enterprise Holdings in 2007, Alamo joined Enterprise Rent-A-Car and National Car Rental under a single corporate umbrella. Even inside that larger group, Alamo keeps its own identity as the go-to value brand for travelers who want an affordable ride for the trip ahead.
