Founded around 2015 by Milwaukee childhood friends Paul Anton and COO Lyth Saeed, Huupe grew out of Anton’s wish to stay close to his brother Frankie through basketball — sparking the idea of a hoop that enables real-time virtual play and shot tracking. After bootstrapping for years and spending five to bring the concept to life, the team launched its flagship product in 2019 and later raised $11M in funding.
